At Tesco, it is important for us to reduce our impact on the planet. One way we do this is by aiming for zero waste. Our challenge is simple: prevent any food waste that is fit for human consumption from going to landfill.

This is why we are proud supporters in Stamford of the Second Helpings charity. Second Helping collect donations from our store 7 days a week and we have donated thousands of meals. In 1 week alone, we can donate upwards of 140 meals and this is all food that could have potentially been wasted that had not sold through our reduction process.
It is important for us to do everything we can to support the community and local area. We are proud that we can do our bit to help people and families out there who are struggling or need a little help, especially in the current economic climate.
